Sorry for the lack of posting everyone. I am in finals week of school and have been very busy training for my first 5k this month for my cause. I will be posting more soon.

Thank you so much for your page! I have a few questions if you don't mind? I know while at bootcamp we're given classes.. someone told me that we will be taught how to "properly do our make up"? Also, I noticed earlier that you suggested we learn how to do a tight bun, do you think it would be better for me to cut my hair short before I go? And, how was the first couple of weeks for you at boot? Thanks again for answering :)

I will answer these in order.

1) When I went to boot I was told what is expected of makeup. I did not receive any kind of sit down class with instruction (like I thought I would get). Basically, makeup should be natural looking in uniform (using tans and browns for shadows and what not) and things like eyeliner and mascara should not be so thick you look like you belong on Jersey Shore. I will do a video with an actual sit down class for you ladies who wish to know more. I’ll cover nails, lip gloss/stick, shadows, etc.

2) A lot of girls cut their hair before boot. Many cut their hair while in boot (you’ll have two opportunities to do so). However, be aware that cutting your hair short may be just as much of a pain in the ass as having to put it in a bun. You still won’t get to wash your hair every day. You will be expected to keep it tidy, and you will need to keep it out of your face. I will also do a video on how to make an AMAZING sock bun. My fiance is coming back from his drill weekend tonight and I asked him to grab the supplies needed to show you guys.

3) The first couple of weeks were hell. As they should be. I questioned what I was doing. I was tired. I was sore. But at the same time I learned a lot about myself and found strength that I never knew I had.

Who are the recruiters in this girl’s area? I want them to black list her.

I went to boot camp with Lavine and her twin sister. I don’t know if she is still in or not, but I’m pretty sure she is at least a Cpl if not higher. Plt 4013 graduated back in ‘06.
